I would add that all of the security folks were nice. Her response was 'we don't serve fruity drinks' Really? It's not too difficult to just add some grenadine or cherry syrup to something, anything! Liked the hotel and would certainly stay there again, but we would not go back to the casino. We went to a different bar, I asked the bartender for something fruity.
The second night in the casino was no better. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday night and there were no other people at the bar. We tried to visit with the bartender since this was our first time at Prairie Meadows, but he was having non of that! He was a jerk, period. Ordered our drinks, just a beer and a vodka coke, and played the bar top machines. Not here! On our first night we stopped into the closest bar from the hotel. We travel a lot and stop in to various casinos that are in our path, most all have very pleasant staff. Every single bartender we ordered drinks from was as rude as they could be. Loved the hotel and the staff there, but not the bartenders in the casino itself. We spent 2 days here in June and stayed at the casino hotel.
